Haiti's double-double lands him Interperformances Player of the Week award- November 23, 2019
He had a double-double of 22 points and 25 rebounds, while his team outclassed Nejapa (#4, 2-9) with 38-point margin 108-70. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed San Marcos to consolidate first place in the Salvadorean league. San Marcos have a solid 8-2 record. Haiti turned to be San Marcos' top player in his first season with the team. Yoan Luis Haiti averages just after two games 13.5ppg, 24.5rpg and 6.0apg. Second best performed player last round was Dewan White (193-G) of Nejapa. He is American guard in his first season at Nejapa. In the last game White recorded impressive 42 points and 9 rebounds. Bad luck as Nejapa lost that game 70-108 to the higher-ranked San Marcos (#1, 8-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Nejapa still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Nejapa managed to get this year. White is a newcomer at Nejapa and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. Third place about best performers goes to forward Harrison Rieger (193-F-98) of league's second-best Juayua. Rieger showcased his all-around game by recording 17 points, twelve rebounds (!!!) and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Juayua, leading his team to a 53-42 win against the lower-ranked Izalco (#5, 1-10). Juayua is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 8-2 record is not that bad... Rieger has a great season in El Salvador. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.4ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 15.6rpg (2nd best) and assists with 3.4apg (4th best). He also has 2.6spg, 3.3bpg, FGP: 51.2% and 3PT: 42.0%. Other top performing players last week: 4. Roger Diaz (180-SG-99) of San Marcos - 17 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists 5. Eduardo Mariona (188-G-97) of Izalco - 15 points and 16 rebounds 6. Pablo Figueroa (186-F) of San Marcos - 19 points and 6 assists 7. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
